# Faith Guitars Upgrade Eclipse Series of Electro-Acoustic Guitars
Faith Guitars has enhanced its Eclipse series of electro-acoustic guitars with improved amplification and note expression, taking its staple six-strings to new heights.
## New Features and Enhanced Amplification
In response to the success of its Nexus acoustic guitar range, the British luthier has focused its attention on elevating the Eclipse range by launching new editions designed to be the ultimate stage guitars. The onboard electronics of the Eclipse series have received a powerful upgrade with the inclusion of Fishman’s Ink Body preamp system, which features a piezo pickup and a body sensor.
Faith states that this tech upgrade elevates the amplified sound and allows for greater note expression, catering to both chord-based and complex fingerstyle playing. Additionally, the preamp’s Body control feature gives players the freedom to adjust the bridge-plate-mounted sensor, determining how much body and percussiveness the guitar delivers when connected to an amplifier.
## A Guitar Designed For Comfort and Functionality
The guitars are constructed with solid spruce tops and solid mahogany back and sides. For the first time, the latest models feature a figured maple ergonomic forearm contour, harmonizing aesthetically with the instrument’s figured maple binding. Functionally, this contour enhances comfort, especially during long playing sessions.
An Onyx-Black finish and carefully applied clear lacquer help to control the tonewood’s natural resonance, delivering a balanced and focused tone. In line with its commitment to sustainability, Faith has replaced traditional abalone and mother-of-pearl rosette and logo materials with figured maple, and for every guitar sold, the company will plant a tree in partnership with the charity, JustOneTree.
The revamped models are equipped with Grover Rotomatic machine heads and Macassan figured ebony fittings.
## Variants in the Eclipse Series
The Faith Eclipse series offers three body shapes, all with cutaways for easy upper fret access. The Faith Eclipse Venus (priced at $1,539) features an OM/Auditorium body shape, while the Faith Eclipse Neptune (also $1,539) is a Baby-Jumbo. The Faith Eclipse Neptune 12-string version is priced at $1,699.
