I’m not sure there has been a pop tunesmith who smiths quite like Paul McCartney. Whether the amazing array of songs he wrote for the equal amazing Beatles or with his band post that super group, Wings, or even his solo stuff, the man does produce!

This collection celebrates his band WINGS with a compilation of 32 songs picked by Paul himself.

Formed in 1971 with his wife Linda and guitarist/vocalist/songwriter of the famous “Go Now,” Denny Laine, Wings was rather unstoppable across their seven studio albums. Scoring US #1 singles like “My Love,” “Band on the Run,” “Listen to  What the Man Said,” “Silly Love Songs,” and “With a Little Luck,” and selling over 22 million albums one could say Macca fared well post The Beatles.

Songs like “Band on the Run,” with a decidedly louder sounding electric guitar due to the remaster here, to “My Love,” “London Town,” and even more obscure tunes like “Arrow Through Me,” are here. With all taken from remastered post 2010.

No matter what format you might buy, you will get a booklet, featuring an intro from Paul. The expanded editions include more goodies; photos, artwork, with Blu-ray version of WINGS is the first time Wings songs are available on a physical format in Dolby Atmos.

Fly on enjoying this bunch of songs from this fantastic band.
